I'm worn out. I spent the day working like mad in the garden. Winter gardening is funny, you work for ages, but it is basically tidying, pruning, cleaning up really. So at the end, everything looks neater if you knew what it was like before but not really spectacular.
However I know, hidden beneath that new mulch lies the seeds, bulbs and plants that in a few months time will have my little courtyard bursting with colour. It is very satisfying, in a kind of hidden way!
